8/9/14 ALPHA Pets is currently CLOSED to applications
as we are out of funds! As soon as additional funds
become available we will re-open to applications.
Please check back again!
Do you want to have an ALPHA Pet? Getting help is easy! Take a moment to read the information below, to make sure you understand how our program works. Then, click on the button at the bottom of the page which says "Click HERE To Apply" and we will work with you!
Our service area includes the following counties Ohio: Brown. Kentucky: Bracken, Mason, Lewis, Rowan, Bath, Robertson, and Fleming.
At the present time, A.L.P.H.A. Pets is paying a flat $50 payment toward surgeries at participating vet clinics, and the applicant is responsible for the balance. You MUST have your surgery performed at one of these clinics for A.L.P.H.A. to assist you. Please call clinics you may wish to use and obtain current pricing and make a decision as to where you wish to go PRIOR to completing the application, as you will be asked during the process which clinic you wish to utilize. A.L.P.H.A. Pets does not endorse one clinic over another, and we do not give out pricing for any clinic.
ATTENTION CAT OWNERS: OAR has received a grant for spay/neuter in Mason, Bracken, and Lewis counties, making surgeries only $20 per cat. This also includes rabies vaccination if needed! A.L.P.H.A. is asking for all people wanting assistance with cat spay or neuter in these counties to please utilize the OAR shuttle which is running once a month! You can check the A.L.P.H.A. Facebook page for dates for the current month's run.
ATTENTION MASON COUNTY RESIDENTS: We would like to encourage residents of Mason County to utilize HSBT vouchers before requesting assistance from A.L.P.H.A. Their vouchers are available at all Mason County Vet Clinics.
NOTE: MULTIPLE Feral & Barn Cats are sent through OAR (Ohio Alley cat Resources) as part of a TNR Program. Cats will be transported in traps, and ear tipping will be performed. No exceptions. You can learn more about TNR by clicking HERE.
As we are a new organization, and run totally off donations received, our funds at this time are very limited. In the event we do not have available funds, you will be placed on a wait list and contacted back when we have funds. We do NOT give funds directly to individuals. Funds go directly to the clinic performing the surgery.
